Do Not Sell My Personal Information

The California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) gives California residents the right to opt-out of the “sale” of their personal information.  Summersalt does not sell user information in the traditional sense; that is, we do not generate revenue from disclosing your data. However, in order to provide you with personalized ads about our services on other platforms, we may share information with third parties or they may automatically receive certain limited information associated with you and/or your device(s) (such as cookies, advertising IDs, and usage activity) as part of your use of our services.  We also may share information, including contact information and your interests, with third parties, which may include data exchanges, data co-ops, or our partners for co-branded or jointly offered products, so that they can provide ads or information that may be of interest to you.  These types of sharing are described further in our Privacy Policy, and may be considered a “sale” under California law.

You have choices about how your information is shared, and may restrict this sharing in the following ways:

You can opt out of information sharing with third parties that may constitute a “sale” under the CCPA by visiting our Privacy Center, selecting “Manage Consent Settings,” and selecting “no” as your consent preference under “CCPA Sales.”

Other Ways to Opt Out of Online Ad Personalization

  • Browser settings: You can use your browser’s settings to clear, delete, or prevent ad personalization cookies from being set on your browser.  Instructions for how to do this on the different types of browsers can be found here:  https://www.allaboutcookies.org/manage-cookies/
  • On your mobile device, you can change your device’s privacy settings to control how companies collect and use advertising identifiers.  Instructions for how to do this on different types of mobile devices can be found here:  https://www.networkadvertising.org/mobile-choice.
  • DAA Opt Out Tool (for browser): Many of our advertising partners participate in the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA), an industry organization that offers tools to help consumers control how data from their web browsers is used for ads personalization.  California consumers can opt out of “sales” of information by companies that participate in the DAA CCPA Opt-Out Tool by visiting https://optout.privacyrights.info/ and following the instructions on that page for websites and apps. Any consumer can also use the DAA AdChoices tool, available at https://youradchoices.com/control, to opt out of participating companies’ use of their data for interest-based advertising purposes.

Please note that if you have configured your browser’s settings to block cookies you may not be able to set the opt-out cookie and may see a message that an “Opt-Out is Blocked by Browser Settings,” or that an “Opt-Out is Temporarily Unavailable.”  In addition, if you clear or delete cookies on a particular browser, you will need to reset the opt-out cookie.

  • DAA Opt Out Tool (on mobile): You can make requests for participating companies not to “sell” your personal information from mobile apps by downloading the AppChoices Tool on your mobile device using the following link: https://www.privacyrights.info/appchoices

Note: If you use different computers, browsers, mobile devices, then you may need to replicate your choices across those different devices.
