The first 2 weeks in July are packed with fun events; here's a sampling:
June 30th, 2013 - TTOL Flotilla Kick Off Party
6PM til Late - Fish N' Lime Restaurant - West End, Tortola
The TTOL Flotilla events are always a treat. They are a sort of pirate themed cruise of various boats around the BVI with partying being the de facto main theme. The kick off party will be no exception and will be ideal for landlovers who would like a taste of the festivities or to try negotiate becoming a swab on a understaffed ship. Use caution; if you have too many rum drinks you might just get Shanghaied. There will be fresh lobsters and a purely jovial atmosphere. Contact Fish N' Lime at 495-4276 for more details.
July 1st, 2013 - Territory Day
Territory Day is public holiday so expect many stores and government to be closed and Festivities to be kicking off all over the BVI. This holiday celebrates the dissolution of the Leeward Islands Federation in 1956 and the subsequent formation of The Colony of the Virgin Islands.
July, 1st - Fisherman's Day
Long Bay Beach, Beef Island
Fisherman's Day celebrates everything marine life harvesting related and I wouldn't be surprised if there were some fresh seafood to be enjoyed at this event.
July 1st, 2013 - Youth Triathlon Development
The BVI Triathlon Federation has a youth training event on the 1st of every month through December and is held at various locations. Free transportation is provided so contact Chris at 542-1981 or Chris@bsafe.vg for more information.
July 2nd, 2013 - Annual Dhingy Poker Run
8:30AM to 8PM - Leverick Bay Resort and Marina - Virgin Gorga
The Annual Poker Run at Leverick Bay is a full day of fun which kicks off with a killer breakfast buffet with mimosas, a dinghy race, and ends with a tremendous beach BBQ and raises funds for animal rescue. Open to all!
Firecracker 500 - Regatta and Chili Cook Off
West End Yacht Club
Goslings Rum BVI race series - more info coming soon...
